I love the quote, “you don’t get the butt you want by sitting on it.”
It’s implied that just because you want something, doesn’t mean you’ll get it.
Purposeful and consistent action has to be taken, for you to achieve the results you want.
This time of year so many people “take the month off” due to the demands of the holidays.
They think it will be much easier to start back up in January.
I would argue that if you stay consistent during the busy season of your life, you will be way more consistent when things calm down.
Two of my clients, Melanie and Josh, are constantly on the go.
They own a roofing company in town and their kids are very active in sports.
Time is a very limited thing for them.
To live a healthier lifestyle, they do 3 things really well and stay consistent with them.
-Strength Train 3x/week
-Eat mostly things grown out of the ground, instead of out of a box or drive thru
-Sit down to dinner as a family
Regardless of the season of year or demands of their life, they stick to these 3 things and it’s paid off greatly.
Josh has lost 19lbs, Melanie has lost 25 lbs.
Their energy levels remain high so they can be the best parents and bosses they can be.
Doing daily tasks have become much easier physically.
If they stick to these 3 things, they get to have their best life now regardless of the season.
What’s stopping you from having your best life now?
