One of our families goals for the New Year is doing more active things together.
This past weekend, Bonnie and I bought each other bikes for Christmas.
Yesterday we got to go on our first family bike ride.
It was AWESOME!!!!
Our plan was to spend 45 min.-1 hr. riding and instead we spent 2 hrs. because we were having so much fun!
This led to me to think about how our environment plays a massive impact in the choices we make.
We were able to:
-get a ton of vitamin D
-burn hundreds of calories
-teach Jeremiah about perseverance going up hills:)
-make fun memories as a family
We spent less time looking at a screen, wanted to spend more time with one another, and it helped our bodies crave healthy food!
Here are a couple of ways to create a positive healthy environment for yourself:
–have healthy prepared whole foods in plain sight
-take your dog on a daily walk
-keep chocolate, ice cream, and cookies out of the house
-get accountability and consistency by hiring a personal trainer (I know of a great one:)
Take a few minutes today and see how you can create a more positive healthy environment for yourself.
Your body will thank you!
