The First Step To Success In Pretty Much Anything

Is there anything in your life that you’d like to be more successful at?

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and assume (careful…) the answer is yes…

I’ll certainly say “YES!” as my answer.

The topic of success is actually quite interesting to me.

I really enjoy studying and learning more about it.

One of the most fascinating things about success is that it’s different for each of us…

What you might define as success in your life may have no interest to me…and vice versa.

I think our society has made many of us think that success is based on how much money you make and the things you have…

And, maybe for some that is what success looks like.

That brings me back to defining success…so that I can finally reveal what I believe is the first step to achieving it.

My absolute favorite definition of success comes from Earl Nightingale:

“Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.”

Don’t just glance over that definition.

Really think about it.

So, what’s the first step…in my opinion?

You have to become CRYSTAL CLEAR on what you consider worthy ideals…for YOU.

I say ideals – plural – because you have different areas of your life that are likely important to you – fitness, family, friends, finances, faith, etc.

Then, of course, there’s the balancing act, right?

I mean, I personally wouldn’t consider myself successful if I had lots of money but couldn’t do a push-up to save my life!

So, when I think about success, I first look at my individual goals or “ideals” and then look at how they all come together…

It’s a LOT to think about…which is why I think many people just choose not to and either just go through life never really getting what they want or putting too much emphasis on what society says they should want…

With that said, I hope this inspires you to take that first step – GET CLEAR.

I have been working with Marc for almost two years. He has been extremely effective in reducing neurogenic pain in my hips and knees. In addition, he has worked on my balance and overall strength which was in serious need of attention. Marc is very responsive to designing exercise strategies to meet **your** specific goals and needs. I highly recommend Marc if you are looking for an exercise physiologist or trainer.

After many tried and failed programs either online or in a public gym or CG, I finally have a program I have stuck w consistantly for over a year. At the year mark, I even decided that I loved going to UPT so much, I upped my sessions from 2x to 3x a week. Now, I am sad if I miss a session. My pain is gone. I was a chronic pain patient for over 10 years with various issues causing said pain. Marc's knowledge of how muscles work and how to guide them back to their proper place is pretty cool. When he asks how your body is feeling, he expects you to tell him if something is off so he can help and prevent further injury. Plus... he tells corny dad jokes.
