Do you put your needs and wants behind everyone else?
When you try to make yourself a priority, do you feel guilty because your focus isn’t on those you love?
Have you ever told yourself, “I can’t afford a personal trainer” but at the same time have no problem paying thousands of dollars for your kids select soccer league?
If this you, you aren’t alone.
In fact most of us fall into one or all of these categories.
The root of this is that we don’t see the value in ourselves.
This became crystal clear a couple of days ago when I was meeting with a new client.
She was telling me that her job had cut back on the number of employees and now she had to do twice the work for the same amount of pay.
Her company also got upset with her for drinking too much water on a business trip because of the itemized expense of water:(.
How valued would you feel if you have to do twice the amount of work (same pay) and feel guilty for drinking water?
I’m guessing not valued at all!
She told me that she wants to start working with me is because she wants to take her value back!
She realizes that her health and wellness is the most valuable thing in her life.
That’s a lesson that we all need to remember.
If we don’t value our health, then we truly can’t enjoy our life the way we want to!
