Today we are going to focus on two strategies that you can use anywhere to help alleviate nagging knee pain. If you are someone who’s knee gives out when walking up stairs, has flat feet, and/or has tight hips, then you probably have dealt with or currently deal with some sort of knee pain.
The knee is a hinge joint that is caught between the hip and the foot/ankle complex. If one of those areas aren’t functioning correctly, then the knee takes the hit.
Today we are going to look at how we can make the hip stronger to take pressure off the knees. We are going to focus on your lateral hip muscles. In the video below, we are going to focus on how we can teach the hips to decelerate resulting in better control of how the knee moves.
Perform 2-3 sets of 10-20 reps on each leg for each exercise.
